We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical-Surgical team at a hospital in Machias, Maine. The ideal candidate will provide safe, effective, and high-quality patient- and family-centered care while collaborating with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes.

The successful candidate should have strong patient assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills, along with the ability to work independently and respond efficiently to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs and clinical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
• Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond promptly with appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Cerner EMR.
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and changing patient needs.
