ABOUT US:
Got Light applies a fresh approach to lighting, audio, video, staging, and drape in the special event and wedding industry. We produce hundreds of events each year including some of the most notable events in the City, including major opening parties and social galas. Got Light is looking for skilled light board operators for special events, corporate events, general sessions, product launches, and more! This is an on-call position as an independent contractor. We're looking for people who can easily jump in to assist with various events!
DESIRED SKILLS
- Proficient on the grandMA3.
- Basic knowledge of electricity, power distribution, and lighting equipment.
- Installation and operation of uplighting, theatrical fixtures, LED lights, dimming/control.
- Able to work efficiently and under pressure.
- Comfortable making changes on the fly.
EXPERIENCE
- Working with clients and lighting designers.
- Busking and Cueing.
- Programming of static/ambient lighting as well as concert/performance lighting.
- DMX over Ethernet (ART-NET, sACN) networking.
- Basic knowledge of circuit loads.
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
- On-call / event based work.
- Nights/Late Hours/Weekends
- Independent Contractor position
IC REQUIREMENTS
- Business License (EIN) required.
- Carry $1M in liability insurance.
QUALIFICATIONS | PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- General knowledge of event production or technical theater.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure, and manage chaos with ease.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working on ladders.
- Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
