Duties

• Lead the installation, inspection, and maintenance of industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters, ensuring swift resolution of system faults.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and repair activities accurately.
• Supervise and coordinate electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and quality standards.
• Manage high-voltage electrical wiring projects, including the installation of low voltage systems.
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Mentor junior electricians by sharing technical knowledge on electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, wiring techniques, and troubleshooting strategies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in commercial and residential electrical systems.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance, NEC standards, and local electrical codes.
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, power tools, and testing equipment like ohmmeters.
• Experience working with high-voltage wiring systems and industrial electrical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls.
• Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures related to high-voltage installations and renovations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with hands-on handyman experience for versatile project support.
