CT Technologist (PRN)

CT TechnologistAs a CT Technologist, you will operate the CT Imaging equipment to produce images of designated portion of the human body for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.Employee will be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology as well as a Registered Technologist (RT) with minimum one year experience in diagnostic radiology. Employee will also hold a current certification in in CPR (Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation).Primary duties and responsibilities:Review Physician orders and obtain pertinent medical information to identify reason for the examThoroughly explain the procedure to the patientBe able to select appropriate position for each patientOrganize images, perform the scan, and transfer images to PACS systemReport all potential issues with equipment to Chief TechnologistPractice proper safety techniques in accordance with departmental policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned by supervisorProvide clear information and education to patientAnticipates and responds promptly to needs and request of patients and/or staffDemonstrates respect and courtesy to othersDemonstrates professionalism at all timesAble to problem solveDemonstrate emotional support to othersCreate and maintain a calm environmentLicense/Certification Required:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyRegistered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiologyCurrent CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) certificationEqual Employment Opportunity & Work Force DiversityOur organization is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, creed, sex, religion, marital status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, parental status, sexual orientation, veteran status, genetic testing results or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state or local laws.
