Job Overview CoreCivic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a correctional nursing role in Lecanto, Florida. The position is staff, ongoing and offers hourly compensation of $37.83 – $49.70. Responsibilities Apply nursing skills to the care of inmates and residents. Attend sick call with the physician; prepare inmate/resident lists, examining rooms, and equipment. Examine and assess new and existing inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries, and refer to emergency or other healthcare facilities as needed. Perform emergency procedures and notify the Licensed Independent Provider for treatment orders. Provide guidance, supervise, and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non‑licensed medical staff. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a degree or diploma in nursing. Current nursing licensure in the state of employment. Preferred: One year of professional nursing experience. Valid driver’s license. Minimum age: 20 years.
