Job Title: Registered Dietician (Contract)

Location: Bronx, NY
Positions: 2

• 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• 35 hours/week
• Weekends: 1–2 per month required

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide inpatient clinical nutrition care, patient education, and diet management in an acute care hospital setting. The role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, monitoring food-drug interactions, and coordinating care with physicians and clinical teams.

• Assess and screen patients for nutritional risk and dietary needs
• Provide nutrition education and document patient understanding
• Monitor and document food-drug interactions
• Consult with physicians for diet modification plans
• Collect and interpret patient history, labs, and clinical data
• Modify patient meal plans based on clinical requirements
• Provide follow-up nutritional care and reassessment
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
• Minimum 1–2 years of inpatient clinical experience (2+ preferred)
• Registered Dietitian (CDR certification required)
• New York State Dietitian-Nutritionist certification (if applicable)
• Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills
• Ability to work in acute hospital environment
• Weekend and holiday availability required

• Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
• CDCES (Diabetes Educator) or CNSC certification preferred
• AHA BLS certification preferred
• Spanish language skills a plus
