Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical training, trade school, or machining certification preferred. Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, work instructions, and technical documents in English. Strong shop math skills, including calculations for speeds, feeds, tolerances, and machining parameters.

Experience Requirements Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience required. Experience setting up, programming, and operating HAAS CNC Mills and CNC Lathes. Proficiency with Haas Conversational Programming, G-Code, and Fusion 360. Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, UHMW, and plastic materials. Ability to write, edit, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs at the machine controller. Experience working with prototypes, custom parts, and small-batch manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications Experience operating manual mills and manual lathes. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing projects from programming through final production. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Experience collaborating with engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams.

Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds occasionally. Ability to operate shop equipment, machinery, hand tools, and small lifts. Ability to use precision measuring instruments for extended periods. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.

Job Duties Independently manage machining projects from programming and setup through final production. Set up, program, and operate HAAS CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components. Program using Haas Conversational Programming, G-Code, and Fusion 360 software. Operate manual mills, lathes, and general shop equipment including drill presses, grinders, and band saws as needed. Read blueprints and CAD drawings to manufacture parts according to specifications and tolerances. Calculate and adjust speeds, feeds, depth of cut, tooling, and coolant flow for optimal machining performance. Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools. Maintain tolerances as close as ±.005 and occasionally ±.001. Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to support custom projects and prototype builds. Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
