Title: Manufacturing - Associate Technician Production Operations I (O1) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Location: Carlsbad, CA 92010 Pay: $23/hr. on w2

Our manufacturing company is seeking a team member to join our Reagent Pack Value Stream team. In this role, you will formulate, fill, test, and package chemical and biological reagent products according to operational plans and customer demand. We are looking for associates who thrive in a team-oriented and goal-focused environment while maintaining quality, compliance, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read, comprehend, and follow established work instructions and procedures with strong emphasis on quality.
  • Execute daily production plans to meet due dates and quality standards.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings, work orders, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Independently perform reagent formulating, filling, testing, and packaging activities.
  • Apply basic analytical and scientific methods during manufacturing processes.
  • Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot reagent components and instruments.
  • Conduct testing on solutions including pH, conductivity, and density to ensure process compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and improve quality.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to production methods, equipment performance, and efficiencies.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Daily Management initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment while following company procedures and regulations.
  • Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate manufacturing records.
  • Assist in cross-training and training of new team members on equipment and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in regulated environments preferred (FDA, ISO, GMP).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, and repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  • Good hand dexterity and ability to handle assembly components efficiently.
  • Ability to frequently stand (80%) and perform repetitive manufacturing tasks safely and accurately.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of FDA, GMP, QSR, and ISO standards.
  • Experience with laboratory or reagent manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshooting and equipment calibration experience.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
