About This Role The Supervisor, Nursing - Pre-Op/Recovery is a professional registered nurse who provides leadership and operational support to nursing staff. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Part-time, Weekend Day What You’ll Do Participate in recruitment and retention strategies. Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees. Participate in unit goal creation reflective of hospital goals. Lead or participate in evidence-based practice projects or research. Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions. Complete employee corrective action plans/counseling as necessary. Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations for staff. Monitor the unit orientation process for all roles as necessary. Lead multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient and family experience. Ensure unit-based performance improvement monitoring is completed. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire. Experience: Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty or equivalent. Licenses & Certifications: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
