Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
• Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay and facilitating effective return to community activities.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations in a positive learning environment.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, uphold professional licensure in good standing, and pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and professional activities.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain).
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop clinically appropriate treatment plans.
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific State Practice Act and professional code of conduct.
• Competency in medical record documentation in compliance with applicable state, federal, and payer guidelines.
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and practices.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Outpatient physical therapy experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience with student supervision and clinical mentorship.
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and organizational quality initiatives.
