Role Description The Assistant role at PakMail is a part-time, on-site position based in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role supports daily store operations by assisting customers with packing and shipping needs, preparing shipments, and processing orders at the counter and over the phone. The Assistant helps coordinate pickups and deliveries, tracks shipments, and ensures accurate documentation and labeling. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean and organized workspace, restocking supplies, and supporting basic administrative tasks such as data entry and filing. The Assistant works closely with the team to uphold safety standards and provide efficient, friendly service to all customers. Qualifications Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to assist customers in person and by phone in a professional, courteous manner. Basic administrative and organizational skills, such as data entry, record keeping, and managing documentation for shipments. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and coordination of pickups and deliveries. Physical ability to safely lift, move, and pack various items, following company safety guidelines and best practices. Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills, including use of email and standard office software. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.
