About the Role At Meridian, we recognize that every interaction, process, and reimbursement directly supports our ability to deliver quality care to the individuals and communities we serve. We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) who is passionate about operational excellence, financial stewardship, and building collaborative partnerships across the organization. In this executive leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle while working closely with clinical, operational, and financial teams to optimize reimbursement, improve efficiencies, and support the organization's long‑term financial sustainability. The ideal candidate is an innovative healthcare leader who can balance strategy with execution, inspire high‑performing teams, and drive continuous improvement across revenue cycle operations. What You Will Do: Develop and execute the annual strategic plan for Revenue Cycle Management, measuring and reporting outcomes and opportunities for improvement. Provide leadership and oversight for revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, URUM, and credentialing functions. Lead cross-functional workgroups with clinical and front‑end staff to improve workflows, operational efficiencies, and reimbursement outcomes. Monitor accounts receivable performance and implement strategies to maintain AR at 60 days or less. Oversee denial management efforts to maximize reimbursement and maintain denial rates at or below 5%. Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care organizations, and other regulatory payer requirements. Drive initiatives that enhance revenue integrity, optimize cash flow, and ensure timely billing and collections. Partner with clinical teams to improve documentation quality and provide ongoing education related to reimbursement and compliance standards. Establish and monitor productivity metrics and performance expectations for direct reports, conducting regular evaluations and coaching. Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Present revenue cycle performance, strategic initiatives, and recommendations to Senior Leadership on a monthly basis. Support organizational growth through process improvement, technology optimization, and best-practice revenue cycle management strategies. What We're Looking For Education Bachelor's Degree required. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or similar coding certification preferred. Experience Five (5) or more years of progressive leadership experience in Revenue Cycle Operations within a healthcare setting. Experience overseeing billing, collections, reimbursement, and revenue optimization strategies. Behavioral Health revenue cycle experience preferred. Inpatient revenue cycle experience preferred. Driver Requirements Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, reimbursement methodologies, and payer regulations. Comprehensive understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and managed care processes. Ability to analyze financial and operational data to identify performance improvement opportunities. Strong strategic planning, organizational, and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mentor high‑performing teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage executive leadership and stakeholders. Ability to build collaborative relationships across clinical, operational, and financial departments. Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and change management abilities. Proficiency with electronic health records, billing systems, reporting tools, and revenue cycle technologies. Commitment to continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and organizational excellence.
