Position Purpose

In the Adult Behavioral Unit at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital , the Registered Nuse (RN) provide high-quality inpatient care to adults experiencing acute and chronic mental health and substance use disorders. You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting patient recovery and well-being.

What You Will Do:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental health status, including psychiatric stability and withdrawal symptoms

• Administer medications safely, monitor for effectiveness and side effects, and educate patients on treatment plans

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers

• Monitor patient progress and document clinical findings accurately and timely

• Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and de-escalation when needed

• Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school

• Valid RN license in Connecticut

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Mental Health; Substance use treatment or Behavioral Health acute inpatient setting experience.

• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Position Highlights:

• Full Time-36 Hrs/Nights

• Every Other Weekend/Holiday

Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital's Behavioral Health Services include a full range of mental health and substance abuse treatment programs for all ages.
