We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Job Overview As a key member of the property's golf operations team, the Golf Cart Attendant reports directly to the Golf Course Head Professional or Assistant Golf Professional and attends to the golf cart fleet and driving range.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill RequirementsMust have strong customer/guest orientationMust have strong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be dependableMust have friendly personality and enjoy working with the publicWorking knowledge of the rules of golf is preferredAbility to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulationsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to use equipment and tools properly and safelyPosition ResponsibilitiesMaintains professional appearanceBrings carts from the cart barn in the morning and returns carts to the cart barn at the end of the dayCleans, fuels, and checks carts after each useCleans and maintains cart barnEnsures the carts are available for player use at all timesReceives and communicates complains to the Pro ShopWorks closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare and conduct golf tournamentImplements and supports all course policies and programs as communicated by managementPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerWorking ConditionsWhile performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and handsThe employee often is required to walk, stand, talk or hear, handle, feel or operate objectsThe employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionallyThe employee will occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlSpecific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perceptionModerate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, mechanical hazards and electrical hazardsExposure to pollens and dustNoise level is moderately quietWork extended hours during golf and holiday seasonWork weekends and holidaysAll job descriptions are subject to a periodic review.
