Accounts Receivable Specialist

Scaffolding Solutions LLC, a Richmond, Va. based full-service scaffolding engineering firm is seeking an experienced candidate to provide Billing and Collections support for the company.   This position is located in the corporate office and provides centralized invoicing for all operations and branches.    

Position Responsibilities:

• Assess billing documents and other data for accuracy and completeness, track down missing documents or correct as necessary
• Timely and accurate preparation of invoices, coordination of approvals, posting to general ledger and mailing to customers
• Prepare and process additional billing related documents such as Payment Applications, Lien Waivers as required to support billing and collection processes
• Maintain various billing and data logs in excel spreadsheets
• Periodically provide estimates of unbilled activity
• Scan and file billing documents
• Maintain organized and accurate document folders
• Respond to billing inquiries from internal and external customers
• Review the status of delinquent accounts and initiate collection actions by contacting customers
• Implement procedures to improve efficiencies and accuracy of billing and collection processes
• Back up support for receptionist including answering telephones and routing calls
• All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School diploma a must, Associated Degree preferred
• Required 2 – 4 years Billing and A/R experience in an automated accounting software environment
• Must have excellent communication skills in person, on the phone and in writing as well as the ability to use proper grammar, punctuation and spelling
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, intermediate Excel skills required
• Experience with Pay Applications a plus
• Occasional need to work overtime
