RN/LPN Wound Care Nurse

Now Hiring: Wound Nurse (RN/LPN)

Part Time - Weekend | Shift: 7a-7:30pm

We are seeking a dedicated Wound Nurse (RN/LPN) to oversee and implement the facility's Wound Prevention and Treatment Program. This role works closely with Unit Managers, the Staff Development Coordinator, and the Wound Care Team to ensure high-quality wound prevention, treatment, and staff education.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Clinical Functions

• Assess skin condition of all new admissions using standardized assessment tools
• Collaborate with the Wound Care Team to determine appropriate prevention and treatment plans
• Obtain physician orders for wound treatment modalities
• Implement wound treatment plans as assigned by the Director of Nursing
• Accurately document all wound treatments and ensure consistency in documentation
• Complete weekly wound summaries
• Educate nursing staff on wound prevention principles
• Respect residents' rights regarding choice, consent, and refusal of treatment
• Consult with Unit Managers and Social Workers when needed to ensure compliance with facility policies and State and Federal regulations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN or LPN license (required)
• Minimum of one (1) year of wound care experience
• Wound Care Certification (preferred)
