Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing assessments for residents in the LTC setting.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, monitor progress, and adjust goals as needed.
- Deliver direct speech-language pathology services, document treatment notes, and maintain accurate records in the charting system.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, rehabilitation, social work, and medical staff) to optimize patient outcomes.
- Screen for and manage swallowing disorders; provide dysphagia strategies and educate residents, families, and caregivers.
- Support discharge planning and transitions of care, communicating changes in status and contributing to care conferences.

Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the appropriate state or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
- Current, valid credentials to practice as an SLP
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and follow a structured 40-hour weekly schedule
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in a 17-week travel assignment and adhere to shift hours (08:00–16:30)
