Job Overview A law firm seeks a labor associate with 2-5 years of experience in New York City, NY. The firm represents a diverse range of union and benefit fund clients across various industries, including entertainment, sports, and healthcare. The role involves litigation, administrative proceedings, and strategic advice on organizing and governance. Duties Litigate on behalf of union clients in federal and state courts. Represent unions in administrative proceedings and grievance arbitrations. Assist with collective bargaining and provide strategic advice. Engage in internal union governance and organizing efforts. Requirements 2-5 years of experience in labor law. Commitment to the labor movement. Strong critical thinking, research, and writing skills. Ability to interact with clients and exercise independent judgment. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Admission to the New York State Bar. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in legal research and writing. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
