Purpose: The selected applicant will be responsible for the protection, security and safety of all personnel and company assets.

Job Description (Duties and Responsibilities):

• Monitor access control systems for all employees and guests, verify credentials, issue temporary I.D. badges
• Monitor all fire and alarm systems for the corporate office, Mentor facility, various sales offices and Distribution Centers.
• Act as the companies 911 emergency response center
• Act as Incident Command emergency dispatch center for critical incidents.
• Dispatch ETM's for emergency response on critical incidents.
• Coordinate with local police and fire for critical incident emergency response.
• Patrol property, enforce parking guidelines, monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings.
• Fill in at the truck entrance to cover vacations and call offs.
• Inspect vehicles entering restricted areas, verifying shipping and receiving papers and assign proper docks.
• Issue gate passes and properly scale raw material and scrap.
• Monitor railroad traffic entering and exiting the property.
• Provide for the overall safety and security of company employees, guests and assets.
• Interpret and enforce company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Irregular work schedule required.
• Effectively represent the company to all guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Security
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the RISE Strategy.

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years security experience is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Highly motivated, quick learning, quality conscious and have the initiative to take ownership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Very alert and able to act calmly and decisively under stressful conditions.
• Able to work well with people in all areas and levels of the company.
• Able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
• Excellent attendance and "on time "record required.
• Able to walk up to two miles per shift and climb steps.
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license.
