ML Researcher

ML Researcher Location: New York City, NY Work Arrangement: Onsite Experience: 2–7 years, with 4–6 years preferred Visa Sponsorship: Available About the Role We are looking for an experienced ML Researcher to join a well-funded and fast-growing Healthcare AI startup . You’ll work closely with the founders and senior engineers to build the research environments, evaluation systems, datasets, and tools needed to develop the next generation of AI models. This is a highly technical role for someone who enjoys solving challenging ML problems, building real systems, and taking ownership from research through implementation. What You’ll Do Build and improve Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments Develop ML evaluation and benchmarking frameworks Create high-quality datasets and verification systems Develop tools and infrastructure to support AI/ML research Improve AI development and evaluation workflows Work closely with founders and senior engineers on technically challenging projects Conduct experiments and translate research ideas into working systems Help shape new approaches to building and evaluating AI models What We’re Looking For 2–7 years of Machine Learning experience , with 4–6 years preferred Hands-on experience with Reinforcement Learning (RL) and/or Multimodal AI Experience building or supporting production ML systems Strong software engineering and programming skills Ability to explain previous ML/AI work in significant technical depth Strong problem-solving and analytical skills High ownership and ability to work independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment Willingness to work onsite in New York City Key Skills Machine Learning Reinforcement Learning Multimodal AI Deep Learning Python PyTorch / TensorFlow / JAX ML Infrastructure Model Evaluation Dataset Development AI/ML Tooling Generative AI / LLMs Computer Vision or NLP Nice-to-Have Experience Healthcare AI Clinical or healthcare datasets AI infrastructure ML tooling Startup experience Former founder experience Technical team leadership Research engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr TheCorporate LLC
