Moving Center General Manager Trainee

Compensation Range: $19.00 to $21.00 Hourly Location: 110 US Hwy 1, Edison, New Jersey 08817, United States of America. General Manager Trainee – Overview U-Haul is looking for a responsible, motivated and thoughtful person to learn how to manage one of our moving and storage centers. As a General Manager Trainee you will learn to make our rental facilities profitable and efficient by tracking inventory and managing equipment. You will solve problems as they arise in a fast-paced environment. Our motto is “Hire Fast, Pay Fast.” Key Responsibilities Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment. Track and itemize inventory. Ensure customers receive the highest quality of care. Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash. Clean and monitor premises and maintain a secure environment. Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University. Minimum Requirements 1–3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction. Computer and organizational expertise. Management proficiency in high‑volume retail with profit‑and‑loss (P&L) accountability. Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work weekends and holidays. Physical Demands Some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
