Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Cardiothoracic Surgery

Description This on-site contract position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical practice environment. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with pre-operative and post-operative care, supporting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. Your expertise will directly impact our surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care Support cardiothoracic surgeons during surgical procedures Conduct physical examinations and medical histories Order and interpret diagnostic tests Develop and implement patient care plansEducate patients and families regarding treatment plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Requirements Associate degree in Nursing or relevant field Current NP or PA license in the state of Georgia Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or similar medical practice Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care Basic life support (BLS) certification required Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 1 weekend per month Daily Volume: 8 patients Duties: Consults, ED, CVICU, and anything related to CT surgery Team Structure: 1 Surgeon, 2 APPS, floor and OR nurse structure EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr
