Associate Attorney

Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm with nearly 40 years of excellence, is seeking a Senior Associate to join our First Party Insurance Practice Group. While the team is based in Austin, the successful candidate can be located anywhere in TX and work remotely as needed. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience litigating first-party insurance disputes, enjoys a collaborative work environment, and thrives on taking ownership of their cases and their results. What You'll Do Take primary responsibility for an active first-party litigation docket from inception through resolution. Receive autonomy to handle your caseload through all phases of litigation while also receiving assistance, support, and strategic guidance from managing partners and other attorneys on the team when needed. Defend first-party bad faith lawsuits involving: Commercial Property, Business Income, and other commercial coverages Residential property Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage Stowers, excess judgment, and other coverage disputes Develop and execute litigation strategy in partnership with sophisticated client representatives from large, national insurance carriers. Build strong client relationships through exceptional communication, responsiveness, and results.
