Planner Scheduler

Overview The Project Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed job plans, including scheduling, cost estimation, and resource coordination, to support small capital projects in the oil and gas industry. Responsibilities Develop detailed job plans that include steps, durations, material and equipment needs, and cost estimates: resource requirements, sequence of scheduling, Gantt chart, cost estimate. Coordinate planning resources in accordance with small capital projects' cost estimates and schedules. Update plans with any approved change orders and develop new plans as needed. Develop a regular reporting cadence to communicate planned vs actual progress. Analyze and recommend resolutions for work problems and execute solutions. Adjust plans based on feedback from execution. Perform critical and near-critical path analysis. Prepare summary and detailed level schedules. Develop full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-generated baseline schedules for projects. Participate in all project schedule reviews as required at Operations Review Meetings (ORMs) or other sessions. Participate in the development and preparation of proposal presentations, including preliminary bar chart schedules and staffing charts. Provide support and training in the use of project and scheduling software to office and jobsite staff. Conduct schedule and Work-In-Progress (WIP) reviews. Work together with multiple teams to coordinate both schedules and models. Interpret data, compile reports, and deliver presentations as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, or other related engineering fields. Five (5) or more years' experience in cost engineering, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, estimating, and other areas of project controls in an oil and gas environment. Advanced experience with scheduling software applications such as Primavera (P6) on projects required; large project experience highly preferred. Proven written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Positive leadership style and ability to create high morale.
