Staff Attorney

Whitecap Search is seeking a part-time, in-person attorney to join a multidisciplinary team in NY. This role involves direct legal services, shelter resident advocacy, and court appearances across NYC and Westchester (Family, Housing, and Supreme Court).

Responsibilities

• Develop legal strategies in collaboration with social workers and other professionals
• Coordinate and deliver trainings and outreach to professional audiences
• Assist with grant writing and reporting
• Engage in policy and legislative work on elder justice issues
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and law enforcement

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and admission to practice in New York State (required)
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience in elder abuse, domestic violence, or victim advocacy (preferred)
