Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 5 years of experience as an RN required; inpatient psychiatric experience must be within the last 3 months. License: Active Vermont RN license required Certifications: American Health Association BLS certification required Must-Have: Must have recent general adult experience in the last 3 months. Psych and behavioral health experience and age groups must be listed on the resume. Willingness to float to other units and take charge shifts is required. First-time travelers will be considered. Description: MUST BE ABLE TO START ON THE SPECIFIED DATE ONLY - NO EXCEPTIONS. This unit provides care to adult patients in a safe and nurturing environment designed to promote healing and ongoing recovery. The treatment approach focuses on helping patients develop and maintain their sobriety while managing co-occurring psychiatric issues. Responsibilities include working with a multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs and interventions. Utilize the nursing process to meet the needs of patients requiring complex nursing care. Provide clinical supervision of mental health workers to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care. The treatment team specializes in providing high-quality intervention, medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal, stabilization, and necessary education for successful recovery. Psych skills checklist from the last year is required. Two supervisory references from the last two years of employment are required. Driver's license or the candidate's address must be included in the submission packet. Multiple blackout dates for time off requests will apply. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification will be offered onsite. Candidates should outline their experience with various patient populations. Scheduling requests must be clearly presented in the submission.
