FOOD UNIT LEAD (FULL TIME)

Job Overview We are hiring immediately for a full-time FOOD UNIT LEAD position. Location: CAT - 600 W. Washington, East Peoria, IL 61611. Online applications accepted only. Responsibilities Coordinates activities of other food-service employees and creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors. Provide quality customer service with attention to detail and ensure presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control align with company standards. Assist in planning menus and supervise the preparation and service of food and beverages. Ensure timely, efficient meal service and supervise serving of meals. Respond to customer complaints in person and via electronic means as appropriate. Train employees, assign and coordinate work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service. Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow. Maintain required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, production records, payroll and timekeeping; manage cash handling per policy. Order food and supplies from approved sources; maintain sanitation and safety according to company standards and government regulations. Develop sanitation schedules and ensure adherence for cleaning of kitchen and dining areas and washing of utensils and equipment. Issue written and oral instructions; participate in selection and orientation of staff; oversee training in areas of responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Food service experience required.
