Job Summary and Qualifications The Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, performing diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitoring patients on mechanical ventilation. Key Responsibilities: Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds and airway management Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen and aerosol medications Assist with artificial airway placement and manage mechanical ventilation Monitor patient responses and intervene as needed Transport ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergencies Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 months of start date Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 months of start date Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC Associate Degree or Completion Certificate; Bachelor’s preferred 1 year experience preferred Medical City Plano, established in 1975, is a 600+ bed hospital with extensive services including cancer treatment, cardiovascular care, women's and children's services, and Level I Trauma Center.
