Litigation Paralegal

A prestigious law firm is looking to add a stellar Litigation Paralegal to their office.

The ideal candidate should have a solid litigation background and be able to handle assignments from various attorneys, be a self-starter who can work on their own, and be detail-oriented. The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters.

The Litigation Paralegal will:

* Support litigation counsel in all stages of litigation
* Manage the discovery process, including the collection, retention, and production of documents, and assist counsel in drafting discovery responses
* Draft basic legal documents, including settlement agreements, document retention notices, and response letters.
* Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits
* Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
* Experience in oil and gas a plus

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Minimum 5 years civil litigation experience in:

* Organizing large caseloads, discovery and trial preparation
* Commercial and business litigation, experience is a plus
* Must have experience with State and Federal
* Solid written and oral communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Great time management and multi-tasking skills
* Ability to act independently and with minimal supervision
* Familiarity with trial presentation software
