Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Robotics experience Level I Trauma experience Ability to maintain sterile field Description: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The position involves night shifts from Sunday to Tuesday. No call is required for this role. This unit typically handles general, orthopedic, robotics, plastics, trauma, ENT, spine, urology, gynecology, neonate, high-risk c-sections, donors, hand, and eye cases. The nursing staff will circulate and scrub procedures, with a focus on maintaining a sterile field. Nurses will participate in a pass/fail SIMs Lab for skills validation, specifically focusing on Foley catheter insertion. Nurses must be competent in maintaining sterile fields, as this is a crucial aspect of the role. Additional skills may include lifts, restraints, and wound care training. The unit is equipped to perform approximately 30 cases a day. Nurses may be required to rotate weekends and take on-call shifts as needed. There is no floating required unless the nurse has the appropriate skills. This position is open to first-time travelers as long as they meet the required experience and competencies. The facility has a cancellation policy allowing for a limited number of shift cancellations during each assignment.
