Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is now recruiting a Seasonal Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The Resort boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who’s who of Miami. The Loss Prevention Officer protects hotel guests, employees, and property. Hotel security works directly on the hotel property, patrolling the grounds, and in an office, monitoring security cameras or filling out paperwork. This person will followsafety and security standards and complete incident reports as required. Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions Performs surveillance and patrol of property as per hotel standards. Escort Guest and employees as requested. Respond to emergency calls as per established policies and procedures. Completes incident reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses, obtaining signatures. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers. Assesses risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations. Evacuating guests in the event of a fire or another emergency and o btain help by sounding alarms. Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. Delivers packages to guest rooms as per the established hotel policy. Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed. Qualifications 2 year's of security experience in a hotel environment. Keen observation skills. A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast past environment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overnight, holidays and weekends. Proficient in basic computer skills. Must be able to work in teams. Excellent problem-solving skills. Well-groomed, professional appearance. Physically agile, ability to stand or long periods or walk moderate distances. #J-18808-Ljbffr Andaz
