Travel RN - TelemetryAmerican TravelerLatrobe, Pennsylvania, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: RotatingLength (weeks): 17Openings: 1Start date: 2026-10-26$1,915.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry unit position requiring an active PA or compact RN license and at least one year of telemetry experience.DetailsTelemetry unit within a hospital settingPatient ratio of 1:6Day shift (3x12 hours, 6:30-19:00) and night shift (3x12 hours, 18:30-7:00) schedules availableFloating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as neededEvery other holiday coverage requiredRequirementsActive RN license (PA or Compact) requiredCurrent BLS certification (AHA only) requiredMinimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience requiredCerner charting system experience preferredSkilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and peripheral line careExperience with blood product administration, port access/management, and starting/maintaining IVs preferredExperience with bowel obstruction care, colostomy/ileostomy management, and feeding tube care preferredExperience with continuous bladder irrigation preferredExperience administering heparin, insulin, and PCA medications preferredExperience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac preferredExperience in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, and Telemetry settings preferredExperience with nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanksExperience with peripheral nerve block catheters and total joint replacement care preferredExperience with pre/post neurosurgery care and substance withdrawal management preferredExperience with surgical drain management preferredExperience with rapid response/code team protocols preferredAdditional InformationNot accepting local candidates for this positionCandidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be consideredFormer permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelersTravel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteedBackground concerns must be disclosed prior to considerationSocial security number, date of birth, and requested time off must be provided at the time of considerationTwo supervisor references are preferredHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
