This position requires leadership skills to manage a custodial team and ensure that all cleaning duties are performed effectively and efficiently. Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and trash removal in classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and other areas. Floor Care: Maintain floors through regular waxing, buffing, and stripping when necessary. Safety and Security: Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly; ensure that safety protocols are followed at all times. Inventory and Supplies: Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and order additional supplies as needed to ensure proper stock. Repairs and Maintenance: Report any needed repairs to building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, or lighting, and perform minor repairs or troubleshooting when appropriate. Set Up for Events: Assist with setting up facilities for special events, meetings, or activities, such as setting up chairs and tables or preparing specific rooms. Communication: Maintain effective communication with school administration and staff regarding cleaning schedules, maintenance issues, and any concerns about facilities. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation and pest control practices. Perform Additional Tasks: Take on additional custodial duties and responsibilities as required by school leadership.
