Job Summary Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a board certified or board eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Geisinger's Heart and Vascular Institute includes 69 Cardiologists, 12 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 12 Vascular Surgeons and 82 Advanced Practitioners. Services are provided at GMC in Danville, PA; The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, PA; Geisinger – Community Medical Center (G-CMC) in Scranton, PA; Geisinger – Gray’s Woods in State College, PA; and select community locations with additional cardiologists. Job Duties The ideal candidate would be an early career or a mid-career interventional cardiologist. Multidisciplinary team members participate in outcomes and population-based research, including the Geisinger Center for Health Research, the Siegfried and Janet Weis Center for Health Research, and trials of new drugs, devices, and techniques through the Geisinger Center for Clinical Studies. The institute serves as an educational venue for five cardiology fellows per year and advanced fourth-year cardiology fellows, hosts an annual Cardiology Symposium and frequent CME lectures.
