Server Position

We are a non-tip luxury residential community, which is why we offer a higher hourly rate. The schedule is primarily morning shifts (10am5pm) working outdoors in a covered pool/beach restaurant, with indoor evening shifts (Tues & Thurs, 5pm11pm). This is a full-time, 40-hour position. Turnberry Ocean Colony is a drug-free workplace, and all candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure the highest level of resident and guest satisfaction by offering prompt, professional, courteous, and dedicated services. Actively contribute to the department in order to complete tasks, meet goals, or manage projects. Overall, this position is responsible for and dedicated to providing recognition, satisfaction, and value to the residents and their guests, while continuously improving efficiency, accuracy, productivity, and service standards.

We are a non-tipped, luxury residential environment. To reflect that, we offer a higher hourly rate in place of gratuities. This is a full-time, 40-hour position, primarily scheduled for morning shifts starting at 10am.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting residents upon arrival at the restaurant
• Wine Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the wines-by-the-glass program, including appropriate pairings, and a working knowledge of the wine cellar, proper wine service techniques (e.g., decanting, glassware), as well as a strong grasp of the beer and non-alcoholic beverage offerings.
• Beverage Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the cocktail, including an understanding of available spirits, history, and flavor profiles.
• Resident Engagement: Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and always provide exceptional service, regardless of the time of day or how busy the restaurant is.
• Providing excellent customer service during their dining experience
• Taking feedback from residents
• Cleaning tables following the standards
• Carrying drinks and food from the kitchen or bar area to the tables
• Memorizing the food menu and wine list as well as any nightly specials
• Setting tables throughout the shift
• Understanding of food safety and how viruses and bacteria can spread
• Familiarity with local food safety regulations and other laws
• Successfully completing ongoing training & certifications
