THE JOB:

MGM Grand Detroit is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Housekeeping to take the spotlight and drive operational excellence backstage. In this key leadership role, you will champion our talented housekeeping team, steer departmental budgets, and implement premier service standards that define our luxury guest experience. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee leadership in the development and monitoring of our housekeeping department's fiscal budget and guest service standards, to maximize revenue opportunities to produce both short-term and long-term profitability.
• Oversee implementation of policies, operating procedures, training programs, directives, work schedules, rules and regulations for our housekeeping, staff in response to business demands.
• Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and coach front office staff for the efficient operation of the department.
• Drive employee engagement through coaching, training, and development.
• Ensure an exceptional guest experience within the housekeeping department consistent with the company's service standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
• Four years of prior relevant management experience in a similar hotel environment
• Three years of prior relevant management experience in housekeeping operations
• Previous experience managing team members represented by a collective bargaining agreement preferred
• Technical knowledge and experience with HotSOS preferred
