Accounting Manager

Our client is looking to fill the role of Accounting Manager.The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting overall financial processes across the organization. Reporting to the Controller, this role manages core accounting functions including general ledger, billing, accounts payable, and financial close activities.The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting experience, leadership capabilities, and the ability to improve processes within a fast-paced professional environment.

Responsibilities :



Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end/year-end close.
  
  
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  
  
• Support audits, financial reporting, and ad hoc analysis requests.
  
  
• Assist with maintaining and improving internal controls and accounting procedures.

Billing & Accounts Receivable

• Oversee billing operations, invoicing processes, and revenue-related activities.
  
  
• Review billing adjustments, write-offs, and account reconciliations.
  
  
• Resolve complex billing or payment issues and support internal stakeholders with related inquiries.
  
  
• Ensure timely and accurate application of payments and account activity.

Accounts Payable & Expense Management

• Manage accounts payable operations, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and expense processing.
  
  
• Ensure proper coding, approvals, and compliance with internal policies.
  
  
• Oversee vendor setup, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  
  
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen controls within AP processes.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Maintain strong working knowledge of accounting systems and reporting tools.
  
  
• Evaluate and improve accounting workflows, processes, and controls.
  
  
• Support system upgrades, implementations, and reporting enhancements.
  
  
• Promote consistency and best practices across accounting operations.

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and support accounting staff, including workload management and performance oversight.
  
  
• Review team work product to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  
  
• Assist with training, onboarding, and development of team members.
  
  
• Help maintain operational continuity during high-volume periods and staff absences.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  
  
• CPA preferred
  
  
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  
  
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations
  
  
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  
  
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues
  
  
• Strong financial reporting and reconciliation skills
