The Bakeshop Supervisor plays a key role in delivering an exceptional Butter Pecan Bakeshop experience by leading daily store operations, supporting team members, and ensuring high standards for product quality and customer service. This hands-on position combines leadership, baking, and operational responsibilities to help drive a positive experience for both customers and employees.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience

Expected Hours: 30+ hours per week (Full-time)

Schedule: Varies based on business needs and includes opening, closing, weekend, and holiday shifts. Additional hours may be required during peak seasons, staffing shortages, call-outs, or other operational needs.

The Bakeshop Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of a Butter Pecan Bakeshop retail location. This hands-on leadership role oversees customer service, in-store baking, product quality, team performance, and overall store execution. The Bakeshop Supervisor works the majority of weekly shifts and plays a key role in maintaining a clean, efficient, and customer-focused environment while ensuring high operational standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, trustworthy, organized, proactive, and passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences. They lead by example, coach team members effectively, and take ownership of store performance while supporting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

Bakeshop Supervisors operate within a team-based leadership model. While assigned to a primary store location, Supervisors may occasionally provide support at other company locations during planned vacations, absences, staffing needs, or other operational needs. This collaborative model allows Supervisors and store teams to provide and receive backup support across locations to help maintain consistent operations and service standards.

Essential functions include retail operations and supervision, in-store baking and product quality, team leadership and development, inventory, cash handling, and administration, safety and compliance, and multi-location support.

Additional responsibilities include adhering to all Butter Pecan Bakeshop policies, procedures, and safety requirements, maintaining a professional appearance in accordance with the company Dress Code Policy, and performing other duties as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities include direct supervision of retail team members and responsible for coaching, training, performance feedback, and shift-level accountability.

The work environment involves exposure to heat from ovens, cold storage environments, and frequent interaction with customers. The role requires regular use of bakery equipment, POS systems, and computer-based tools.

Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, frequently bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying products and supplies, lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and operating bakery equipment, POS systems, and other retail tools.

Travel includes minimal travel required. Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between company locations for operational support, training, meetings, bank deposits, or coverage as needed.

Required education and experience include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum two years of experience in a retail, food service, hospitality, lead or supervisory role, baking experience required; professional bakery or in-store baking experience preferred, ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Additional eligibility requirements include being at least 18 years of age, current California Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire, and willingness to sign and comply with company confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements to protect proprietary recipes, operational procedures, business and customer information, and other confidential company materials.
