Job Description:

The primary position will be in the Rehab unit, however, the traveler will float to Med/Surg if not needed in Rehab. Renders professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital and carries out orders placed by the provider responsible for the patient's medical care. Provides comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift.

Responsibilities:

• Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
• Communicates patient information appropriate for continuity and safe care through Bedside shift report, Multidisciplinary rounds, and Hourly Rounding (AIDET).
• Compliant in achieving unit specific competencies and requirements.
• Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established procedures and protocols.
• Assists with solution identification in response to problems and conflicts.
• Effectively delegates aspects of care and unit activities to other nursing personnel.
• Maintains current nursing licensure and certifications, required for the department.

Requirements:

• Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
• Current New Hampshire RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred.
