Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms with the necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Assess patients preoperatively and verify surgical consent, site, and procedure
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during a wide variety of operative procedures
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques
• Monitor patients throughout surgery and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed
• Perform accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and recovery room staff
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical counts, and postoperative transfer to the recovery unit

Requirements

• Active RN License in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification preferred
• CNOR Certification preferred
• Experience circulating a variety of surgical specialties
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical procedures, and perioperative standards
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to remain calm and perform efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
