Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Bronx, NY
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Days
Schedule: 3 Shifts/Week | 11.5 Hours per Shift
Hours: 34.5 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $60–$70/Hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience treating adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, managing critical care respiratory therapies, and responding to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

• Provide respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management.

• Respond to emergency and trauma situations requiring respiratory intervention.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with respiratory care standards and facility policies.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC.

• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License.

• Current BLS Certification.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in:

  • Adult General Care

  • Pediatric General Care

  • Adult Critical Care

  • Pediatric Critical Care

  • Emergency/Trauma Care

  • Neonatal Care

• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.

• Experience in critical care and emergency respiratory procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• RPFT Certification.

• ACLS Certification.

• PALS Certification.

• NRP Certification.
