Pediatric Pulmonology/Sleep Physician Needed for Scenic Chattanooga, TN

The Department of Pediatrics, University of Tennessee, Chattanooga and the Children's Hospital at Erlanger is seeking a Pediatric Sleep/Pulmonology physician to join our well-established group practice. Children's Hospital at Erlanger is a 133-bed full-service pediatric healthcare facility for children and their families, and is part of Erlanger Health, an academic teaching center affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.

Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine is a key component of Children's Hospital at Erlanger, providing multidisciplinary consultation, diagnostic and management services for a wide array of pulmonary conditions. The division provides both inpatient and outpatient services and offers complete pulmonary function testing and flexible bronchoscopy assessments. Inpatient care is consultative only in nature, currently with the hospitalist service caring for the patients as the primary attending. Our pulmonology clinic runs a comprehensive asthma program, a nationally recognized and accredited Cystic Fibrosis program, a BPD program, a multidisciplinary aerodigestive team, and a tracheostomy and home ventilator program.

The Pediatric Sleep Center at Children's Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services to diagnose and treat sleep disorders affecting children and adolescents. Our specialized pediatric focus means we are trained and equipped to offer comprehensive studies geared to the unique sleep needs of children.

Pediatric Pulmonology Program Overview:

• Well-established hospital employed pediatric pulmonology group

• One main office with one current satellite clinic

• Answering service staffed by nurses covering clinic call after hours

• Consult service only on inpatient setting (hospitalists as primary attending)

• Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 58 beds

• 33 bed Pediatric Emergency Department with over 40,000 visits last year

Education, Training, & Experience:

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology/Sleep

• Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Tennessee
