General Manager
Manager in Training

Location: Illinois
Compensation:
General Manager: $45,000 to $50,000 base salary, with bonus potential.
Manager in Training: $17 to $21 per hour.

A growing quick-service restaurant organization is seeking experienced restaurant leaders for General Manager and Manager in Training opportunities across Illinois.

General Manager Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily restaurant operations and overall business performance

• Manage sales, labor, food costs, staffing, and profitability

• Build, train, and develop a strong management and restaurant team

• Create effective schedules and make sound staffing decisions

• Monitor operational results and identify opportunities for improvement

• Maintain food safety, quality, and customer service standards

• Lead by example, establish accountability, and create a positive team environment

• Make decisions that support both operational efficiency and guest satisfaction

Manager in Training Responsibilities

• Learn and support daily restaurant operations

• Develop leadership skills through hands-on management experience

• Assist with scheduling, staffing, inventory, and cost control

• Support hiring, training, coaching, and team development

• Help maintain service, food quality, and safety standards

• Learn how restaurant performance, labor, and food costs impact profitability

• Take on increasing responsibility as management skills and operational knowledge develop

What We Are Looking For

• Previous General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or comparable restaurant leadership experience

• Experience in quick service, fast casual, or another high-volume restaurant environment

• Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, and cost control

• Experience hiring, training, coaching, and developing employees

• Ability to understand restaurant performance, including sales, food costs, labor, and profitability

• Proven ability to lead teams, make decisions, and improve operational results

• Strong communication, accountability, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high operating standards

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
