Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED RN)
The Emergency Department is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position primarily focuses on providing high-quality care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The successful candidate will be adept at handling diverse emergency medical situations.
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 64 beds (2 Triage, 40 Acute, 6 Super Track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 Psych)
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
- Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care, performing assessments, implementing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide safe and effective patient care. The position requires the ability to float to various units and handle high-pressure situations with confidence.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License in New York
- 2+ years of experience in Emergency Department nursing
- Experience with Pediatric patients is preferred
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Drivers' license verification with matching address details
- Documented travel nursing experience
- Skills checklist matching Emergency Department specialty
