Salary: $88,000 - 128,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in computer vision, machine learning, or automation engineering.
• Proven experience in integrating vision systems within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of industrial cameras, sensors, and lighting systems.
• Experience in deploying AI models to edge devices or cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD tools and simulation software is advantageous.
• Leadership experience in cross-functional projects in international environments.
• Willingness for international travel up to 20% and the possibility to relocate to the Detroit area within a year.

• Engage proactively with business and manufacturing teams across different regions to identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with business leaders to formulate product roadmaps focusing on delivering essential features to the plants.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborative meetings to establish priorities for vision system applications.
• Design, develop, and deploy computer vision systems aimed at automated inspection, defect detection, and process monitoring.
• Create proof-of-concept solutions in lab settings, validate them with stakeholders, and drive integration into core machinery.
• Integrate vision technology (edge devices, cameras, sensors, lighting) with manufacturing systems.
• Develop maintenance schedules along with a necessary spare parts inventory to ensure the solutions longevity.
• Work alongside IT and engineering teams to implement AI models and data pipelines for real-time analytics.
• Lead and support the rollout of vision solutions across various regions, ensuring compliance with local standards.
• Coordinate pilot builds, R&D trials, commissioning, and feedback loops with regional teams.
• Assess and select appropriate hardware/software for vision applications in different operational contexts.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW), Bills of Materials (BOM), calibration guidelines, and spare parts lists.
• Oversee vendor selection and manage strategic partnerships with equipment suppliers and integrators.
• Stay informed about advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and industrial automation.
• Perform benchmarking and disseminate insights to global teams.
• Advocate for innovation and standardization throughout various sites and regions.
• Present technical concepts and project updates to stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
• Encourage cooperation across functions and regions to promote alignment and share best practices.
