Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice, utilizing a framework for professional nursing practice and development. Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self and others under their direction.
• Responsibilities: Includes assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; formulating and implementing personalized care plans; coordinating and delegating care activities; evaluating patient responses and adjusting care as needed; documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes; and contributing to clinical research and quality improvement activities.
• Required Qualifications: Current, valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or a valid compact RN license; BLS certification; no minimum years of experience required but clinical performance competencies must be maintained.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Flexibility in interactions across multiple departments, with physicians, patients, families, and external contacts. Must communicate effectively, using reading, writing, and speaking skills. Physical agility and reaction time are necessary to respond quickly to patient needs and unexpected situations. The role involves standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
