The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending and implementing policies, leading planning and development efforts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role also involves serving as the Secretary to the Board of Commissioners, maintaining external relationships with public agencies, private developers, and governmental bodies, and overseeing financial and budgetary operations. The Executive Director will be expected to have a strong background in public housing administration, including knowledge of the Housing and Community Development Act, and experience in program and operations management, human resources, and strategic leadership. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Master's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience, or a minimum of 15 years of experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in public housing or related urban, economic, and community development programs. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of leadership, knowledge of budgets and government funding, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. Personal characteristics such as initiative, innovation, and the ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds are also important. The Executive Director will be expected to have strong skills in financial administration, administrative supervision, and the ability to interpret and analyze complex written materials.
