Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.Job responsibilitiesApplies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applicationsResolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation pathExecutes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problemsDrives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applicationsPartners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statusesConsiders upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implicationsBe accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applicationsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience5+ years of full stack network design and deployment (focusing on Arista switches)Experience with broadcast network architecture, including SMPTE ST 2110 standards and IP-based media workflowsOperating knowledge of two or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as software defined networks / zero touch provisioning, SD-WAN, fabric switching, Wi-Fi, and network security technologies and practices.Proficient in specific network infrastructure technology and programming languages (e.g., Python, Ansible, etc.)Technical knowledge across multiple domainsKnowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloudsDrives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledgePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience with wired/wireless LAN/BGP WAN/SD-WAN and 802.1x technologies from vendors including Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Fortinet, and ForescoutExhibits a growing initiative and the ability to manage assigned tasks efficiently, seeking guidance when needed and showing a willingness to find solutions and contribute to improvements with some supervisionDemonstrates strong communication skills, conveying ideas and challenges with clarity and precision to support understanding and effective collaboration
