Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations by maintaining a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager’s guidance, they supervise employees, manage merchandise presentation, handle paperwork, and assist with financial tasks such as deposits. They perform stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction while safeguarding assets. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service, operate cash registers, and assist customers. Assist with employee scheduling, training, and safety meetings. Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and display following company standards. Maintain accurate inventory, control damages, markdowns, and conduct facility controls. Ensure proper merchandise presentation per planograms and store policies. Support financial integrity through cashier accountability, cash handling, and deposit procedures. Assist in store management during the Store Manager’s absence. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret manuals, perform mathematical calculations, and operate cash registers. Knowledge of cash, safety policies, and security practices. Experience in retail and supervisory roles preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Work Conditions Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting (up to 55 pounds). Use of merchandising equipment and occasional climbing. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise, occasional outdoor exposure, and driving for banking and store visits. #J-18808-Ljbffr
