Personal Trainer/Wellness Attendant

Role Description The Personal Trainer/Wellness Attendant is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Six Mile, SC. This role is responsible for providing personalized fitness training, leading small group sessions, and offering safe, effective exercise guidance tailored to members’ goals and abilities. Daily tasks include greeting and engaging members, conducting fitness assessments, designing and monitoring workout programs, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of wellness center equipment and facilities. The Personal Trainer/Wellness Attendant also supports member education on wellness, nutrition, and healthy habits, assists with wellness programming and special events, and collaborates with other team members to uphold high service standards and a welcoming environment. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of exercise science, body mechanics, and safe training techniques, with the ability to design individualized and group fitness programs. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills to build rapport, motivate members, and deliver a high‑quality guest experience. Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe wellness environment, including equipment care and adherence to health and safety protocols. Experience with wellness coaching concepts such as goal setting, lifestyle habits, and basic nutrition guidance is preferred. Nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., NSCA, ACE, NASM, ACSM, ISSA) or progress toward certification; CPR/AED certification required or obtainable within a specified timeframe. Prior experience in a fitness center, spa, or wellness facility is beneficial, especially in a resort, club, or hospitality environment.
